This was my second residency at KuBa. The abandoned Klein Warnow train station reminded me of my childhood home – a station in Kaliningrad, a Russian exclave, once known as Königsberg. I worked on geographic fugues: A contrapuntal composition technique that I translated into a visual form. Sharon and Mika offered generous support, while the chickens, the walks in the forest and reading by the fireplace provided a welcome distraction. By the end of the residency I presented a split-screen video, which could be viewed through a VR-set.
