KuBa: kulturbahnhof continues to evolve through the people who inhabit it. Every artist, writer, and cultural practitioner leaves traces of their perspective, experience, and imagination, becoming part of an ever-growing collective narrative.
Location: KuBa:kulturbahnhof is located in the disused train station of the village Klein Warnow in Brandenburg. KuBa: kulturbahnhof can be easily arrived at from Berlin or Hamburg by public transportation. We are happy to help in finding a suitable connection.
Accommodation: Each resident is provided with a private apartment of approximately 50 m², thoughtfully designed to combine living and working in one comfortable space. Every apartment includes a bedroom, a separate workspace, a private bathroom, and a fully equipped kitchen, allowing artists to settle into a focused daily rhythm.
A large wood-burning stove heats each apartment, filling the space with warmth and creating a cozy, welcoming atmosphere throughout the colder months.
Beyond the apartments, residents have access to a shared studio, a fully equipped workshop, and an expansive outdoor area with a thriving permaculture garden—spaces for making, gathering, and reconnecting with nature.
The entire station complex is protected as a listed cultural heritage site. Residents are encouraged to engage creatively with the location and its history, and temporary interventions or modifications are welcome, provided the historical fabric of the site is respected and preserved.

Permaculture garden: Our permaculture garden is a continuously developing project. We encourage our visitors to engage in a sustainable approach to nature and new forms of nutrition.

Artistic Training: The one-month residency begins with a one-day methodological workshop dedicated to self-organization, reflection, and defining the personal goals each resident wishes to pursue during their stay.
Throughout the residency, we gather once a week to share work in progress, discuss challenges, exchange feedback, and support one another’s creative processes.
Individual coaching or mentoring sessions can also be arranged whenever needed.
Depending on the nature of the work developed during the residency, participants may have the opportunity to conclude their stay with an exhibition, open studio, reading, or project presentation.
